Forest Fires in Mersin and Hatay: 2,966 People Evacuated

Forest fires in Mersin and Hatay have led to the evacuation of thousands. The fires spread rapidly due to the wind, threatening residential areas.
Mersin Governor Atilla Toros announced that 984 households were evacuated, and 1,851 people were relocated. A total of 173 vehicles and 470 personnel are involved in the firefighting efforts.

In Hatay, the fire affected the Yukarıbucak and Bademli neighborhoods. 540 people were evacuated and placed in temporary accommodation centers.

Fires are also ongoing in Osmaniye. Teams are working to control the fires through aerial and ground interventions.

All teams are mobilized to bring the fires under control. The government is utilizing all its resources to combat the fires.
