The Supreme Court made an important decision in a theft case in Manavgat, holding the security company responsible due to a faulty alarm system.

A citizen who installed an alarm system on November 23, 2018, noticed that the system was malfunctioning just four days later. The theft occurred on April 17, 2020, resulting in the loss of 10,000 lira and 500 grams of gold.

The plaintiff stated that the theft could not be prevented due to the malfunctioning alarm system and filed a lawsuit against the company. However, the initial court dismissed the case.

The Supreme Court emphasized that there is a causal link between the malfunctioning security system and the theft, ruling in favor of the plaintiff. This decision once again highlights the importance of security systems.
