Ekrem İmamoğlu, despite being detained in Silivri Prison, sent a message to the CHP's 39th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress. In his message, he highlighted the importance of elected governments.

Imamoğlu stated, "We have been deprived of our freedom for over 200 days, representing the strong will of our nation with our elected mayors." He pointed out that this situation is an attempt to usurp the will of the people.

Imamoğlu emphasized that the CHP is the servant of the people and one of the legacies of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He also expressed that the party will always stand tall.
