MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli made significant statements regarding the election results in KKTC.

Bahçeli stated, "The results of the election in KKTC were achieved with very low participation. The fate of the Turkish Cypriots cannot be represented by this participation."

Bahçeli emphasized that the KKTC parliament must convene urgently and make a decision to join the Republic of Turkey.

The election results announced that Tufan Erhürman of the CTP won the presidency. Bahçeli criticized this outcome, stating that the parliament must declare that the results and a return to federation are unacceptable.
