Zelenskiy and Putin: What is Needed to End the War?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that Russia does not want to end the war. Airstrikes and drone attacks continue to damage civilian infrastructure.
Zelenskiy emphasized that Russia manipulates negotiations and opposes ceasefire requests. "The war continues because Moscow does not want to end it," he said.
Zelenskiy called on allies to pressure Russia. He stressed that peace can be achieved through strength, indicating that talks with Putin would not be sufficient.

Zelenskiy noted that they accepted the US's 30-day ceasefire proposal. However, he pointed out that Putin imposed conditions on this offer and does not want a ceasefire.
Zelenskiy stated that every day of war results in loss of life, which is the most valuable thing. He emphasized the need for quick steps towards peace.

Zelenskiy expressed that Russia wants to legitimize its occupation of Ukraine and that this must be prevented. "We need real peace to end the war," he stated.
