The flood and landslide disaster in Rize has negatively impacted life in the region.

Continuous heavy rainfall overnight affected the districts of Ardeşen, Fındıklı, Kalkandere, and Çamlıhemşin, leading to many homes being submerged and roads being blocked.

AFAD and gendarmerie teams mobilized to rescue trapped citizens. In Rize, 15 people were safely transported to secure locations by rescue teams.

A similar situation occurred in Giresun, where 8 people were rescued due to a landslide in Doğankent. Teams are working hard to clear the roads.

Authorities are warning citizens to stay away from riverbeds. There is a strong emphasis on being cautious against sudden floods and water inundation.
