Military exercise in the Aegean Sea by Greece

Greece has ramped up military exercises in the Aegean Sea. On September 17 and 18, 2025, joint exercises were conducted with the Indian Navy.

The exercises included the Greek Navy's "Themistocles" frigate and the Indian frigate "INS Trikand." Training topics included surface warfare and combating aerial threats.

The aim of the exercises was to enhance coordination between the military forces of the two countries and improve their ability to operate together. The Greek General Staff emphasized the success of the exercises.

Greece sent a message to Turkey by conducting military exercises in the Aegean Sea. Greek media reported that the exercises served as a deterrent against Turkey's potential research activities.
