The US has decided to withdraw petroleum-based food dyes from the market!

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated that this step is an important part of the agenda to make America healthy again. This decision is seen as a result of the search for healthier alternatives in food supply.

In January, the FDA revoked the approval for red dye No. 3, which is used in some foods and drugs. Now, the approval for other synthetic food dyes will also be revoked.

Dr. Kelly Johnson-Arbor noted that red No. 40 dye is one of the most commonly used synthetic food dyes in the US and Canada. These changes are seen as an important step towards healthy food consumption.
