Mehmet Cemil Acar, former DHMİ Department Head, is in the news due to corruption allegations. His retirement salary and wealth are drawing attention.

Acar stated that he retired in November 2024 and his monthly income is 3 million lira. This income comes from his retirement salary, rental income, bank interest, and investment profits.

During the investigation, 26 kilograms of gold bars and 2 million dollars were found in Acar's house. This situation further strengthens the corruption allegations.

While answering questions about how he acquired his wealth, Acar mentioned owning various real estate and vehicles but stated he couldn't recall the dates of acquisition.

As the investigation continues, Acar's divorce process is also under scrutiny. It is being investigated whether this divorce was aimed at hiding assets.
