Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has taken action against social media blackmail attempts.

Recently, systematic disinformation campaigns on social media have gone beyond mere false news, directly targeting the functioning of the institution. This situation has also led to insults against public officials and blackmail attempts.

ABB has filed a complaint against these blackmail attempts and requested support from judicial authorities. They are demanding that if the allegations are true, the documents be presented to the judiciary.

The municipality informs the public that such behaviors negatively affect the motivation of its employees. It emphasizes that everyone should be invited to responsible journalism and that false and defamatory campaigns should not be trusted.

In this publicly announced process, it is reminded that those who have information or documents should apply to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
