Former CHP deputy Berhan Simsek has been expelled from the party by the High Disciplinary Board. This decision has created a significant shock within the party.

On September 15, the CHP Central Executive Board unanimously decided to refer Simsek to disciplinary action for 'actions that undermine party discipline.' Simsek announced the situation on his social media account.

Simsek shared the disciplinary decision, stating, 'I share with you the honor medal given to me by the leaders of my party, of which I have been a member for 45 years.'
