Candidates for HSK membership in the CHP elections have been announced!

The Constitutional and Justice Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly selected 3 candidates from a pool of 31 for HSK membership. All of these candidates are from the AKP, including one who previously served as a mosque imam. CHP Group Vice President Ali Mahir Başarır expressed his discontent with this situation.

Among the candidates are Havvanur Yurtsever, former AKP Zeytinburnu District Vice President, Mustafa Naim Yağcı, a former imam at Fenerbahçe Selamiçeşme Mosque, and İsmail Ergüneş, former Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services.

This situation has been criticized by the CHP and other opposition parties, emphasizing the need for a more democratic election process.

CHP Deputy Chairman Pınar Uzun Okakın announced that the member lists for the primary elections have been updated. Locations for all members to vote in the presidential candidate primary on March 23 have been determined.
