Extraordinary Meeting Call from DEM Party and Agenda

DEM Party has called for an extraordinary meeting regarding forest fires. Members of the Agriculture Commission have invited the Parliament to an urgent meeting.
Recently, forest fires across Turkey have led to significant losses. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 3000 fires have occurred. This situation has become even more dangerous due to climate change and high temperatures.

DEM Party has requested the Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission of the Parliament to convene urgently. It was emphasized that immediate measures must be taken to control the fires.
The meeting will address the casualties caused by the fires and the destruction of forest areas. Additionally, criticisms regarding the government's inadequacy in this matter will also be raised.

It is stated that the fire-affected areas should be declared disaster zones urgently. This situation is of great importance for both the environment and public health.
