The humanitarian situation in Sweida is deteriorating. 150,000 civilians have been evacuated!

A government official in Syria's capital, Damascus, provided updates on the humanitarian situation in Sweida. Following the ceasefire declared by the presidency, two humanitarian aid convoys have reached the region. These convoys included fuel, food, and medical supplies.

The official noted a serious humanitarian crisis in Dera province. Evacuated civilians have been placed in temporary shelters.

Druze leader Hikmet al-Hecri has reportedly seized humanitarian aid convoys and distributed the aid to his group, complicating humanitarian efforts.

The government official stated that solutions are being sought through peace and dialogue to end the conflicts. The Syrian people have been waiting for an end to the war that has lasted for 14 years.
