Mansur Yavaş Reveals 2 Billion Lira Cable Car Cost

Mansur Yavaş discusses the cable car project.

Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş announced that the current cost of the cable car project is 2 billion lira. This project was planned as part of Ankapark, built on the Atatürk Forest Farm land.

The cable car project, initiated during the term of former Mayor Melih Gökçek, is only 10% completed, but 70% of the payment has been made. Yavaş stated, "I spoke with the cable car company, we are still in court."

Cable car poles were built as part of the Ankapark project.

The cable car was supposed to start from Yenimahalle, go to the zoo, and then reach Ankapark. However, the zoo was closed in 2013, and the hotel project was never realized.

Yavaş's statements provide important insights into Ankara's transportation projects and financial situation. The future of the project and the court process are eagerly awaited.
