Student visa interviews in the US have been halted! Social media scrutiny is now mandatory.

According to documents obtained by POLITICO, the Republican government plans to require all foreign students applying to study in the US to undergo social media scrutiny. Secretary of State Marco Rubio instructed to halt the scheduling of new visa appointments until more social media information is collected.

The document signed by Rubio does not specify what will be examined on the social media accounts of visa applicants, but refers to executive orders aimed at 'keeping terrorists away and combating antisemitism.'

The Trump administration has been making statements targeting elite universities, particularly those it deems 'too liberal' like Harvard.

Applications that allow the immigration police to detain many foreign students who supported Palestinian protests are still in effect.

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that it would consider antisemitic social media activities as grounds for denying immigration rights.
