Recent Developments on AKP Media and RTÜK Inspections

Recently, a hygiene scandal at a vegetable warehouse in Adana has caused a stir on social media. The incident involved a worker entering a pool where cucumbers were washed with bare feet, raising concerns about public health.
The General Directorate of Food and Control instructed the Adana Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry to conduct inspections. During these inspections, it was confirmed that hygiene rules were followed, but it was noted that the footage was from a previous date.

Amasya Governorship announced that approximately 10 million TL in fines were imposed on businesses providing unhealthy food. It was emphasized that inspections would continue to tighten.
Inspections have also been initiated regarding fish deaths in the Ceyhan River. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has started investigations to determine the source of pollution.
