A storm in Bingöl and Bitlis has blown away the roofs of many houses. This situation has negatively affected life in the region.

In the Yolçatı area of the Bingöl-Elazığ highway, strong winds caused significant damage to homes and barns. The 13th Regional Directorate of Meteorology reported that winds would occasionally be strong.

In Bitlis, the storm in the Adilcevaz district also blew away many roofs. Residents are calling on authorities for assistance.

Meteorology has indicated that storms and rains will continue in Bingöl and surrounding areas. AFAD and other teams are conducting damage assessment and safety operations in the region.

Following the storm in Bingöl, AFAD, gendarmerie, and municipal teams have initiated damage assessment operations. Significant material damage occurred in homes with blown roofs.
