Forest fires are ongoing in Urla, Izmir, and Keşan, Edirne. Teams are working to control the fires from both the air and ground.

The fire in Urla broke out near Naipli Mahallesi at around 16:30. The Izmir Regional Directorate of Forestry dispatched 4 planes, 13 helicopters, and 34 fire trucks to combat the fire.

In Edirne, a fire that started from a harvested wheat field quickly spread to the forest. The response includes 2 planes and 2 helicopters.

Four personnel were slightly injured during the firefighting efforts and were taken to the hospital. The fire is partially under control, but efforts continue.

Local villagers are also participating in the firefighting efforts with their tractors. Some citizens are bringing water, while others are assisting the teams to prevent the flames from spreading.

All teams are mobilized to control the fires. The Governor of Izmir is sharing updates on the situation via social media.
