The Istanbul 14th Heavy Criminal Court decided to release Ahmet Özer. He was released under the condition of a travel ban and not leaving Istanbul.

CHP Group Vice President Gökhan Günaydın, who attended the hearing, stated that the case has no legal basis. He emphasized that Özer's detention contradicts the peace process.

In his defense, Özer stated that it is unacceptable to remain detained during a period when the peace process is ongoing. He indicated that this situation harms social peace.

The court ruled for Özer's release with a travel ban and not leaving Istanbul. However, his detention continues due to corruption allegations.
