A scandal has emerged at the university involving secret cameras and allegations of fraud. Serious accusations have been made against the former vice-rector and several academics at Akdeniz University.

The investigation revealed that the treatment of cancer patients was delayed and fraudulent transactions were made with SGK. This situation negatively affected patients' access to healthcare services.

Additionally, allegations surfaced that the academics prioritized their private patient groups over cancer patients, further complicating the healthcare system's integrity.

The investigation also highlighted systematic mobbing against research assistants and the obstruction of their educational rights. This poses a serious issue within the academic environment.

As a result, a proposal for the dismissal of the four academics has been sent to the Higher Education Council (YÖK). It is emphasized that stricter controls are needed to prevent such incidents in the future.
