The Disaster Reconstruction Fund has been activated to provide resources for Turkey's post-disaster projects. This fund will assist in the rapid reconstruction of earthquake-affected areas.

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that the fund will operate effectively according to its purpose. Through this fund, 485 million euros of financing has been secured for the construction of earthquake housing.

As a result of cooperation with the World Bank, 650 million dollars of financing has been provided to enhance Istanbul's disaster and climate resilience. This project aims to increase Istanbul's resilience after earthquakes.

Minister Şimşek emphasized that Turkey's external financing has reached 5.4 billion dollars. This support will strengthen Turkey's preparedness for disasters.
