The brown marmorated stink bug is rapidly spreading across Turkey, threatening agricultural production. First detected in Artvin in 2018, this pest has now become a nationwide concern.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is implementing various control measures to manage this pest's spread. Announcements on social media indicate that both biotechnical and chemical methods are being employed.

Engineer Fatih Çolak emphasized the need for specialized teams to combat this pest. He stated, "We are at the last turn!" urging immediate action to control the situation.

The stink bug has caused a significant invasion in Sakarya's Ferizli and Kaynarca districts, leading to serious issues in both homes and agricultural fields.
