Retirement Salary and Raise Process for Public Employees

The public employer committee has applied to the arbitration board for the salary increase of civil servants. This process is critical for determining the salaries of civil servants and retirees.
The 8th Term Collective Bargaining negotiations, which will determine the raises for 2026 and 2027, ended in disagreement. The government's last offer was rejected by the civil servants.
Memur-Sen decided not to apply to the arbitration board regarding the negotiations that ended in disagreement. However, the public employer committee took over the process and applied to the arbitration board.

The arbitration board is expected to announce its decision by August 31 at the latest. This decision will be valid for two years and cannot be appealed.
Memur-Sen's demands were much higher than the government's offer. They are asking for an 88% increase for 2026 and a 46% increase for 2027.
This process will affect approximately 6.5 million civil servants and retirees. Public employees are eagerly awaiting this critical decision.
