Forest fires are continuing to be fought in the Aegean Sea and the Balkans.

Fires in Izmir, Çanakkale, Muğla, and Malatya are being controlled with intense efforts from the teams. The causes of the fires are being investigated, and three people have been detained.

In Izmir Menderes, the fire is being fought with 8 planes, 8 helicopters, and 35 fire trucks. The cause of the fire has been identified as sparks from unauthorized prefabricated house construction.

A fire also broke out in Çanakkale Gelibolu, and teams are intervening from the air and ground. Efforts continue to control the fire.

In Malatya, a fire broke out in a forest of oak trees. Teams are continuing to intervene in the fire.
