Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç highlighted the importance of a mediation system in divorce cases. This system will facilitate a more peaceful resolution of family disputes.

Tunç stated that he met with family court judges to discuss the need for a mediation system to prevent lengthy divorce cases. This system is widely used in European countries.

It is believed that the mediation system will help prevent heavy accusations arising from minor disputes in divorce cases, reducing hostility between parties and protecting family privacy.

Tunç expressed that the mediation system will allow parties to reach agreements in a calmer manner before divorce proceedings. If no agreement is reached, they can still go to court.

With this new regulation, the aim is to expedite divorce proceedings and prevent the deterioration of the family institution. Minister Tunç stated that legal regulations regarding this issue will be presented to the Parliament.
