Climate change and global warming are having an impact worldwide, including in Turkey. Recently, temperatures exceeding 40 degrees highlight this issue.

According to the data from the General Directorate of Meteorology, on August 9, temperatures exceeded 40 degrees in 22 provinces of Turkey. The highest temperature was recorded in Defne district of Hatay at 47.8 degrees.

The fact that temperatures are above seasonal norms negatively affects agriculture, water resources, and human health. This situation once again highlights the seriousness of climate change.

Experts emphasize that these high temperatures will continue in the coming days and stress the importance of combating climate change. Everyone needs to do their part in this regard.
