In Turkish ports, a record of 634,879 TEU containers were loaded in July!

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced this achievement. A total of 1,259,801 TEU containers were handled in the ports in July, marking a 14.5% increase compared to the same month last year!

Uraloğlu also noted that the amount of containers handled from January to July increased by 5% to 8,273,352 TEU. This reflects Turkey's efforts to increase its share in maritime trade.

Kocaeli was the region with the highest cargo handling in July. Uraloğlu stated, "7,664,573 tons of cargo were handled at the Kocaeli Regional Port Authority."

Additionally, he noted that international cargo transport increased by 10.4% to reach 35,591,626 tons. This showcases the growth potential of Turkish maritime trade!
