Corruption Case in CHP Congress Referred to Constitutional Court

The case regarding the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress continues. The Ankara 26th Criminal Court of First Instance had issued two jurisdictional decisions.
However, the court has now referred the matter to the Constitutional Court. This could change the course of the case significantly.

The indictment includes bribery allegations against 11 individuals, including the detained Mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem İmamoğlu.
The Ankara 26th Criminal Court of First Instance determined that it did not have the authority to handle this case and sent it to the heavy penal court.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated that the court's decision was unlawful and filed an objection. This process of referring to the Constitutional Court is seen as a significant legal step.
Ultimately, this case continues to hold a significant place in Turkey's political agenda. It is advisable to keep track of developments.
