CHP Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer at a press conference.

CHP Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer evaluated the economic situation in Turkey. He stated that factories are being sold through enforcement and that the number of companies applying for concordat has increased.

Gürer expressed that 6 factories were put up for sale through enforcement in July alone this year. He emphasized that production facilities are being sold one by one due to increasing economic problems.

In the first 6 months of 2025, a total of 2776 companies applied for concordat. Gürer stated that this situation shows that businesses are trapped in a debt spiral.

He mentioned that the number of closed companies increased by 27.1% compared to 2024, indicating that the economic crisis is deepening.

Gürer stated, 'An economy that does not produce and does not create employment will not solve its problems,' emphasizing that the current economic management is not taking responsibility.
