Guterres Highlights Constructive Progress in Cyprus Talks

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced that the Cyprus talks were constructive.
During the meeting held in New York, Guterres met with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus President Ersin Tatar and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Hristodulidis, emphasizing the importance of confidence-building measures.
Guterres noted progress on opening new crossing points and initiatives related to the environment and climate change, stating that these initiatives are beneficial for the Cypriot people.
Guterres also addressed the conflicts in Syria, emphasizing the need to respect the territorial integrity of the country and recognize the rights of its diverse communities. He stated that solving the Syrian issue belongs to the Syrians.
