In the second operation against Manavgat Municipality, seven more individuals have been arrested. This operation is part of an ongoing investigation into bribery and embezzlement.

The Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated the investigation based on allegations of bribery in hotel renovations and construction permit applications. Among the 34 individuals previously detained is Mayor Niyazi Nefi Kara.

Evidence of bribery has also been obtained, showing that the Mayor's office was involved in fraudulent activities. Allegations suggest that fake invoices were used to gain unfair benefits through the municipality's subsidiaries.

The Antalya Provincial Police Department conducted four months of technical and physical surveillance for the investigation. It is claimed that the suspects embezzled approximately 800 million lira.

These developments in Manavgat Municipality have caused a significant stir in local politics. The number of arrests is expected to increase.
