Turkey is taking significant steps to support the professional development of Syrian teachers.

A delegation from the Ministry of National Education visited Syria from July 8-11. During this visit, an Education Cooperation Protocol was signed in Aleppo.

It was agreed to determine a suitable building for the planned Turkish School in Aleppo and to provide support for the repair of existing schools.

A Joint Education Working Group will be established to enhance coordination in education between the two countries.

Turkey will organize teacher training programs to support the professional development of Syrian teachers. The Syrian side will facilitate the necessary work and residence permits for Turkish teachers and administrators to work in the country.

Both countries will also collaborate in expanding special education opportunities and providing guidance and psychosocial support services.
