Statements on the European Union Summit and Cyprus Meetings

Spokesperson Keçeli made significant statements at the European Union Leaders Summit. The summit results show that Greece and the Greek Cypriots continue their unlawful claims.
Keçeli emphasized that the maritime jurisdiction agreement between Turkey and Libya is fully compliant with international law. Turkey will continue to assert its rights in the Eastern Mediterranean.

At the Cyprus meeting in Geneva, it was emphasized that cooperation between the parties should be developed. Agreements were made on opening new crossing points and environmental issues.
Keçeli noted that important steps were taken to improve good neighborly relations between the two sides. A similar meeting is planned for the end of July.
