CHP Niğde Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer made important statements in Parliament regarding climate change. He pointed out the shortcomings in the climate law.

Gürer stated, "The term climate change is often mentioned, but the effects it will create are not wanted to be seen. We will either be the killers of the future or the saviors,".

Pointing out that the proposed law contains punitive measures against livestock, Gürer asked, "Are you going to fine a cow for emitting gas?"
