Social media phenomenon Basel was released after being detained. This situation occurred during an event organized by the Workers' Party of Turkey.

Bekir Arslan was detained along with 46 others at an event in Gulhane Park on April 11. He was released on April 12. The reason for his detention was sharing a banner referencing Generation Z.

The release decision was made after Bekir Arslan appeared before the judge. TIP had organized this forum following the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu.
