Effects of Climate Change and Global Warming

Climate change is having serious effects in Turkey, as it is globally. By 2100, the average temperature in Turkey is expected to rise by 7 degrees. This threatens our water resources and could lead to significant agricultural issues.
In the Mediterranean region, drought periods are expected to increase two to three times. This will complicate agricultural production and water supply. Additionally, it will put pressure on our health system.

New research shows that climate change could increase the demand for blood transfusions. Rising temperatures may lead to the spread of mosquito-borne diseases, which can affect blood donors.
Experts suggest that flexible and mobile blood centers could solve future problems. This could be an important step to mitigate the health impacts of climate change.
