RTÜK President Şahin's Strong Warning on Street Interviews

RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin made significant statements regarding street interviews.
He stated that some street interviews lead the public to pessimism and that such content will not be tolerated. "We will not allow content that deliberately misleads the public," he said.

Emphasizing that broadcasts under the guise of street interviews create hopelessness and division in society, Şahin stated that these types of broadcasts are against media ethics.
As RTÜK, he indicated that oversight would be intensified and legal processes initiated against such content. He also stressed their determination to combat broadcasts that undermine public hope.

Şahin remarked, "Criticism is an indispensable element of democracy; however, constructive criticism and a language of pessimism are not the same thing," highlighting the importance of constructive criticism.
