On August 22, 2025, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler held an important phone call with UK Defense Minister John Healey.

During the discussion, they exchanged views on bilateral and regional defense issues as well as defense industry topics. Such meetings aim to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Güler welcomed his British counterpart with a military ceremony upon his arrival at the Ministry of National Defense. Such official visits contribute to deepening the relations between the two countries.

The Chief of General Staff, General Metin Gürak, also attended the meeting. The two ministers discussed joint projects to enhance strategic cooperation in the defense sector.
