A heatwave is showing its effects in Istanbul. On Friday, temperatures will reach 35 degrees!

According to the forecasts from the General Directorate of Meteorology, temperatures will be above seasonal norms. Especially in the Marmara and Aegean regions, temperatures may rise to 38-39 degrees.

On Saturday, the wind will bring some relief. However, short rain showers are expected on Sunday and Monday.

As temperatures rise in Istanbul, citizens are advised to protect themselves from the sun and stay hydrated.

Experts recommend that especially children and the elderly avoid being outdoors between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM and to be cautious during these hours.
