Sefer Karaahmetoğlu has been elected as the Deputy Mayor of Beyoğlu!

Following the arrest of Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney, the council held an election for the deputy mayor position. CHP candidate Sefer Karaahmetoğlu secured the position by receiving 16 votes in the fourth round.

The election was held in the Beyoğlu Municipal Council and witnessed some tense moments. Karaahmetoğlu expressed his commitment to continuing services in Beyoğlu.

In the first two rounds, a two-thirds majority was not achieved, and in the third round, a simple majority was also not reached. Finally, in the fourth round, 30 votes were cast, and Karaahmetoğlu was elected with 16 votes.

Karaahmetoğlu stated that he would work to ensure the continuation of services in Beyoğlu and expressed his openness to the opinions of the public during this process.
