An incident in Beyşehir, Konya, has sparked discussions about the attitude of an AKP mayor. Ramazan Kömürcü donated 5,000 square meters of land for a park to be named after his father.

However, years passed without the park being named. When Kömürcü asked the mayor Adil Bayındır about it, he was met with an unexpected reaction.

Kömürcü claims he was assaulted by the mayor and filed a complaint. He stated, 'The mayor forcibly took me inside and assaulted me.'

Kömürcü emphasized, 'A mayor should not assault a citizen who comes to his office. The park should be named after Ahmet Kömürcü.' This incident has sparked significant debate among the people of Beyşehir.

After the incident, Ramazan Kömürcü stated that he initiated legal proceedings and noted that the mayor's behavior was not healthy. 'I only defended myself.' he said.
