Following the decision of Istanbul University, İmamoğlu stated on social media, "This decision is unlawful. I will fight for justice to prevail."

The Higher Education Council initiated an investigation based on allegations that İmamoğlu's diploma was fake. İmamoğlu provided a statement during this process, emphasizing the need to record the unlawful actions.
