Recently, volcanic eruptions and forest fires have been on the agenda in Turkey. With rising temperatures, the risk of fires is also increasing.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that temperatures will rise by 10 degrees, increasing the risk of fires. He emphasized that while the fires are under control, caution is still necessary.

To combat the fires, 8 helicopters, 32 water tankers, and 186 forest personnel are deployed. Minister Yumaklı urged citizens to show sensitivity towards fire prevention.

Minister Yumaklı pointed out that behaviors leading to fires are equivalent to harming the homeland. He stressed the importance of not lighting fires and disposing of waste properly.

Volcanic eruptions are also being closely monitored during this period. Increased volcanic activity can heighten risks in surrounding areas, making preparedness essential for local authorities and the public.
