Recently, the flashing light vehicle incident in Beşiktaş has shaken the agenda. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on social media that the right of way of the flashing light vehicle has been revoked.

The incident began with a dispute between a motorcycle courier and the driver of a luxury vehicle. The courier asked the driver if she was on duty, to which the driver replied that it was an assigned vehicle.

Minister Yerlikaya stated that a total fine of 155,401 lira was imposed on the driver for the improper use of the flashing light. This situation has caused a significant public reaction.

Additionally, it was noted that this vehicle was previously used by a leader affiliated with the Menzil community. The Interior Ministry reminded that the flashing light system is only granted to certain public officials and emergency response vehicles.
