Major operations in Izmir mark a significant step in the fight against crime. 3,000 people were arrested, and 1,008 were sent to prison.

The Konak District Police Department conducted comprehensive operations over a four-month period aimed at effectively combating crime. During this time, many wanted individuals for crimes such as attempted murder, robbery, theft, and fraud were apprehended.

In the inspections, a total of 3,000 suspects were detained for drug trafficking, possession of weapons, and other crimes. Police officials stated that such operations will continue.

Additionally, in another operation in Selçuk district, 3,142 bottles of illegal alcohol were seized. Such operations are crucial for ensuring community safety.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that operations against organized crime groups will continue and that their fight to bring criminals to justice will persist.
