CHP Chairman Özgür Özel sharply responded to the recent statements of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. He interpreted Bahçeli's messages and questioned the alliance relationships.

Özel stated that Bahçeli's criticisms were directed at those who imprisoned his compatriots. He also emphasized the need for municipalities to be more effective in disaster management against the impending earthquake risk.

Özel said, "We need to deliver homes to people quickly," expressing that the delivery of TOKİ's houses was insufficient. He stressed that necessary actions must be taken urgently after the earthquake.

Responding to Bahçeli's harsh criticisms, Özel stated, "I also say that a trap has been set for Mr. Bahçeli." He emphasized that these discussions hold significant importance in Turkey's political agenda.

Özel also responded to MHP's decision not to meet with CHP, stating, "My interlocutor is Mr. Bahçeli." He highlighted the importance of political unity and solidarity.
