Turkey and Romania Strengthen Transport Corridors Cooperation

Turkey and Romania are taking significant steps to strengthen their cooperation in transport corridors. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that this cooperation could be advanced further during his meetings in Bucharest.
Uraloğlu shared Turkey's investments in transport and communication with Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. He noted that nearly 300 billion dollars have been invested in this area over the past 23 years.
These investments aim not only at building physical infrastructures but also at establishing regional cooperation and sustainable transport systems.
Uraloğlu emphasized the existing culture of cooperation based on mutual trust in all modes of transport with Romania. He also recalled discussions held with Bulgaria to improve transport connectivity.
The reopening of the Karasu-Constanta Ro-Ro Line will facilitate trade between the two countries and contribute to the development of the logistics sector.
Romanian Transport Minister Ciprian Constantin Șerban stated that Turkey and Romania could play a decisive role in alternative trade routes like the Middle Corridor.
