Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are racing to build a gas station in space!

The space race that began in the 1960s is reigniting with the competition between these two tech giants. The idea of refueling in space has existed since NASA's early days, but now it's becoming a reality thanks to Musk and Bezos's companies.

The importance of fuel in rockets is one of the biggest challenges in space exploration. For instance, a significant portion of the Saturn V rocket used in the Apollo program was fuel. Now, companies argue that they can carry larger payloads with less fuel.

SpaceX conducted liquid transfer tests in Starship in 2024. Blue Origin plans to transport fuel to lunar orbit with its new rocket, New Glenn. Both approaches are promising, but experts are cautious about whether the technology will be ready in time.
