CHP Isparta MP Hikmet Yalım Halıcı raised questions about irregular citizenship claims to Minister Yerlikaya.

Halıcı stated that 2,691 foreigners were illegally granted Turkish citizenship through fake documents. He emphasized that this situation commercializes Turkish citizenship.

Halıcı questioned how citizenship processes would be monitored and what legal regulations would be planned. He also stated that such irregular practices undermine public trust in the government.

In his proposal, he asked how many people were granted Turkish citizenship between 2019-2023 and their nationalities. He stressed the need for transparency and effective oversight mechanisms.
